Big well done to the U15s who have made a bigger gap at the top of the 1st Division having a fine win against Smawthorne Panthers at home 38-24 using all the lads in the team who were pushed all the way. We will be playing Hunslet Warriors next week at Wakefield Colleage in the Final of the BARLA Yorkshire cup please all come along and support these Lads kick off 12:45 Sunday 14/03/2010
Under 13s went to Celtic today and lost in very controversial circumstances from a poor call from the Official which left a bitter taste, the final result of 12-8 will be recorded but the Sharks deserved better and were all left puzzled by the Officials interpretation of a penalty, Its enough to say the Sharks should have and deserved to win as any futher comment will have the RFL knocking on my door, I can handle them knocking on my door but my lads are still wondering where the rules come from as we teach them the rules as well as coaching them, come weekends we seem to be playing to new and different rules.Obviously gutted for the boys who worked their socks off today and wondering when Shaw Cross will get the same advantage from Officials. !!
Big Raps to First Team today for a game performance and a few dodgy calls could have been a very influencing factor, keep the faith lads it was good to see the spirit and the young lads giving it their all, Oldham St Annes are a top side and we could have done it with some better decisions and a rub of the green which you never get when your down, keep grafting and working for each other, well done to all who played today.
The u/12s entertained Stanley Rangers, and were well beaten by a big, well drilled side winning by 56-8.Try scorers for the Cross were Declan Sheehan, and Scott Carter,Awards went to M/O/M Scott Carter,Top Tackler Luke Hooley,Most Improved Connor Crossland,Star Achiver Joe Halloran.Next week we are at home to East Leeds (saturday).
U15s at home Sunday against Smawthorne at bywell kick off 10:30 come on and support a top of the table clash

Please also email through any additional sponsor details and web links.
We are trying to update the Junior & Youth section, and uniform each ages section.
Note to all coaches - Dewsbury & Batley Referee Society have requested that all teams re-familiarise themselves with the RESPECT campaign. Recently thier has been a few incidents around the leagues of Referee abuse from Coaches, Touchline Managers & Parents. Please all note that Referees, particulary Junior & Youth games are minors themselves who are learning their trade aswell as the players. They are the most important part of the game and without them we wouldnt be able to play. A referee in general will only makes percieved mistakes by opinion of others. Our players contribute to 98% of a games mistakes and it is unfair that the referee has to be subject to any form of abuse. Touchline managers are their to ensure that their home team supporters & coaches maintain good conduct at all times and if a parent of the referee feels that their child is subject to abuse they have got the full support of the Society to withdraw their child from the game. Lets ALL please ensure that we as a club are leading all others in our touchline conduct.
Craig Halloran will be addressing all our coaches in the near future, so please take this oppurtunity to proactively address this requirement. As a club we have signed upto the RESPECT campaign and i would urge ALL to remind yourself that the kids playing are playing for their own learning, and the Referees are also their for their own learning. It Is NOT SUPERLEAGUE

Nice to see a good crowd at the first team game yesterday despite the conditions. The team are going through a rough patch at the moment, but the effort was there for all to see, and they did well to stay in the game untill the final 10 minutes against top of the league Eccles.
